The Cybersecurity Experimentation of the Future (CEF) community-based study brought together key thinkers and researchers from academia, industry, and government to identify the cybersecurity experimentation infrastructure needed to support research in the 5-10 year time frame. The study produced a strategic plan and roadmap for developing infrastructure to support tomorrow's research.

CEF was a three phase planning effort to develop a strategic plan and roadmap for future cybersecurity research infrastructure requirements.

This study was sponsored by a research grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and was led by researchers at SRI International and the USC Information Sciences Institute (USC-ISI). The SRI and USC-ISI grant abstracts may be viewed on the NSF web site.
